Prompt Rewards

Rules
  • Effort: Submissions must be polished. Mods may reject "farming" attempts (rushed, unpolished pieces significantly below your usual quality).
  • Minimum: Flat coloring is the minimum requirement. Traditional art is welcome, but scans or clear, well-lit photos are required.
  • Focus Character: The focus character must be an existing Minikin and fulfill the minimum requirement. For example, if a prompt requires a Fullbody, that specific character must be at least 80% visible.
  • Accuracy: All characters must be recognizable. Parts obscured by heavy shadow, light, or items do not count toward visibility percentages.
  • Prohibited: AI-generated content and meaningless "filler" text to inflate word counts are strictly prohibited.
How to Claim Rewards

Prompts automatically grant their Base Reward (listed as the prompt reward). However, if you add more characters, backgrounds, or words than the minimum requirement, you must claim Bonus Rewards manually.

Bonus rewards
  1. In the Submission Comments, list the Base Reward at the top (e.g. "Base: 20").
  2. Clearly list any bonuses (e.g. "Extra Fullbody: +20").
  3. Total the values at the bottom (e.g. "20 + 20 = 40"). 
  4. In the Rewards section of your submission, add ONLY the bonus amount. The Base Reward is added automatically!

All art must be colored. All values are listed in Farthings, the main currency of the ARPG.

Planes: Visual layers used to create depth (Foreground, Middleground, Background). To qualify as a plane, the area must be large enough to convey depth (a single object does not count). 
Aspects: Individual objects within the environment such as distinct plants, structures, furniture props, etc. Aspects must be colored and detailed enough to be clearly distinguishable. Characters do not qualify as aspects. Things being counted as a plane cannot also qualify as an aspect. Small ambient effects and symbols such as sparkles, exclamation, non-detailed floating particles, etc. do not qualify as aspects.
 
Below are some example backgrounds! Note that all background pieces still require 1 Minikin Fullbody, these are just for the sake of example.
Simple

Planes (2): Midground crates, Background wall

Aspects (2): String lights, wizard costume display

The other costume displays are too undistinguishable to qualify as aspects (they are just blobs... I am lazy)

Complex

Planes (3): Foreground cliffs, Middleground clouds, Background sky.

Aspects (4): Main whale, secondary whale, floating rays, rocks and foliage on cliffs.

The glowing fish do not qualify as an aspect as they are an ambient effect.

NO BG

Planes (2): Foreground envelope, Background dark night.

Aspects (1): Blue wisteria.

The sparkles do not qualify as an aspect as they are an ambient effect. The clouds are a part of a character's (right Minikin) design.

Complex

Planes (3): Foreground plants, Middleground path and floor, Background glass dome.

Aspects (4): Park bench, glass dome detailing, blue wisteria, foliage detailing.

Writing Values
Base (500 Words)

20

Every additional 500 words grants +15 Farthings. Writing must be in narrative prose unless otherwise specified in the prompt description.

Collaborative Pieces

Collaboration is encouraged! When two or more players collaborate on a single piece of art or writing, please refer to the following rules:

One person should upload the piece to the Gallery, with all collaborators listed. Whenever any of you would like to submit the piece as a prompt, simply link to that Gallery submission.

  • Art: Each player may claim the Full Value of the components they created (e.g., Artist A claims for Simple BG, Artist B claims for Fullbody). Please do not mix contributions, such as exchanging lines and color, to avoid confusion when calculating!
  • Writing: Players must clearly mark which sections they wrote. Rewards are calculated based on individual word counts.


Note that some prompts cannot be collaborated on. These include: Dungeon Encounter prompts.
